BFL Owen & Associates was established in 1981 to form one of the largest structural engineering consulting firms specializing in the structural design seismic retrofit, earthquake engineering and construction engineering support.

Our staff consists of highly trained engineers with extensive backgrounds and exceptional qualifications strategically placed in offices throughout the Western United States. Our scientists and engineers bring the latest in theoretical developments to the point of design application. As active members of code developing committees and professional organizations, and through our research and numerous publications, we have positioned BFL OWEN at the leading edge of structural engineering design.

Our average design of over 400,00 sq. ft. of concrete floors and decks per month is an indication of our production capability in new construction. Beyond the United States, our technical support has materialized in many overseas projects, such as bridges in China and Korea, museums in Panama, and high-rise buildings in Canada and Chile.
